Our Joint Health classes are designed for people looking to improve their mobility, balance and strength; those with Osteoarthritis; or those looking to maximize their rehabilitation goals both before or after surgery.
To provide you with the best support, we ask you to attend an individual pre-class appointment with our physiotherapists, so that they can understand you, your goals, any relevant medical history, and so they can design your individualized program.

Osteoarthritis Health:
OA is the most common lifestyle disease in individuals 65 years of age and older, but can also affect individuals as young as 30 years of age. Current national and international clinical guidelines recommend patient education, exercise and weight loss as first line of treatment for Osteoarthritis. In Australia, treatment usually focuses on surgery however, an appropriately prescribed resistance-based exercise program has been shown to be a better and safer alternative as the first step. Exercises provided can be applied to everyday activities and by strengthening and correcting daily movement patterns, participants will train their bodies to move properly, prevent symptom progression and reduce pain. Open to all individuals who experience any hip and/or knee osteoarthritis symptoms, regardless of severity. |
Rehab Health:
Are you having surgery? These classes help you reach and maximize your individual rehabilitation goals by addressing any weakness and improving your mobility. They are a great way to prepare for surgery or recover post-surgery, and are designed to help you get back to a full recovery and doing the things you love!

- Knee arthroscopy
- Meniscus repair
- Tendon repair
- Back surgery
- ACL reconstruction

Classes run for 40mins with a maximum of 6 people:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 2pm
You do not need a referral from your doctor to attend classes, as you’ll undergo a thorough assessment with one of our Physiotherapists to ensure it’s appropriate and suitable for you to join.

Classes can be booked directly online if you have had your 1:1 assessment and your program has been created. Select 'Marion Physiotherapy', then 'Any Available' then click on 'Classes' top right.
