Covid Update:

Updated: Nov 2021
We want you to know that Marion Physiotherapy and Advanced Pain Solutions is here to support you through these difficult times and is still providing full treatment services with extra measures based on best practice guidelines to ensure your safety. We are committed to helping you look after yourself to allow you the capacity to care for others.

As outlined by the Australian Government, we are asking all clients and staff to be aware of symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, change in taste, change in smell, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, headache and muscle pain not previously diagnosed or related to an injury/incident. If you or someone you live with has these symptoms we request you reschedule your appointment, isolate and get tested. Likewise, we ask you follow the SA Health regulations on self isolation and quarantine if you or someone you live with has travelled interstate recently https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au or been to any hot spots and reschedule your appointment if required.

We ask all clients before they enter the clinic to:
  • Check in using the QR code preferred (manual sign in available upon request)
  • Sanitise your hands
  • Ensure you are wearing your mask correctly covering both nose and mouth (exemptions presented to reception)
  • Arrive as close to possible to your appointment time to reduce time in waiting area
  • Practice social distancing where possible inside the clinic

Clients are welcome to wait outside or in their car for their appointment. Please ring reception and advise that you are here, and reception will call once your physio is ready.

We ask during this time that only patients and carers or caregivers enter the clinic, to help minimise numbers. If someone brought you please ask them to wait in the car or outside the clinic.

To reduce contact as much as possible we will no longer be accepting cash and asking clients to swipe their own private health cards or use contactless claiming (available on your phone with some health funds). If you have no other means beside cash to pay, please call the clinic prior to your appointment.

Telehealth services also available with your physiotherapist via phone or video. Please speak to reception to discuss your options and organise your session.

For patients wanting or needing complete social distancing during this time, namely 70+ year old, cancer patients and the immunosuppressed patients, or others who feel particularly vulnerable, we are very fortunate to have multiple buildings, treatment spaces and isolated entrances. Clients can wait in car, enter via a separate entrance, be brought in by their physio to an isolated clean room and returned to their car, while their treating physio can organise their payment for them. Please advise reception when booking your appointment if this is required and you would like to use the isolation room, as a 40 minute appointment may be required.

During COVID-19 we have also made the following changes:

  • Sanitiser available before entering the clinic and throughout
  • We have rearranged chairs in the waiting room to ensure social distancing
  • We have created individual waiting in several areas of the practice
  • We have created a waiting area outside
  • We have removed magazines from the waiting area
  • We regularly wipe chair + door handles , all gym equipment with sanitiser
  • Treatment rooms and equipment are all wipe over after every patient with sanitiser
  • Linens have been removed from all treatment beds
  • Pain group will be conducted in our larger gym to allow for social distancing
