We want you to know that Marion Physiotherapy and Advanced Pain Solutions is here to support you through these difficult times and is still providing full treatment services with extra measures based on best practice guidelines to ensure your safety. We are committed to helping you look after yourself to allow you the capacity to care for others.
As outlined by the Australian Government, we are asking all clients and staff to be aware of flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, headache, sore throat, shortness of breath, cough, difficulty breathing or runny nose. If you or someone you live with has these symptoms we request you do not attend the clinic but contact your local GP or the Nation Coronavirus Health Info Line on 1800 020 080 for further advice and testing. Likewise, we ask you follow the SA Health regulations on self isolation and quarantine if you or someone you live with has travelled interstate recently https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au and reschedule your appointment if required.
Specific measure being made by the clinic include being able to choose how you would like to access your treatment:

For patient interaction designed to minimise the time in the waiting room we will introduce the following:
It is important that you let our friendly admin team know when booking the appointment if you would like to minimise the time in our waiting room, in order for adequate notes to be made on your file prior to the appointment.
For patients wanting or needing complete social distancing during this time, namely 70+ year old, cancer patients and the immunosuppressed patients, or others who feel particularly vulnerable we would like to offer the following as an option:
Psychology Services: Including Additional Telehealth Support and Services
We know this is a very uncertain, stressful and often fearful time for many people. If this is triggering increased symptoms of anxiety, depression or worry (as well as pain) our Psychologist Dr Ivan Atkinson through our Advanced Pain and Health Services is available to help people through these challenging times
Options include:

Dietician Services:
Ring our friendly admin staff on 8296 7594 and they will assist you with an appointment

- Telehealth services available
For normal reception interaction to give more care during COVID-19 we have made the following changes:
- Sanitiser available before entering the clinic and throughout
- We have rearranged chairs in the waiting room to ensure social distancing
- We have created individual waiting in several areas of the practice
- We have created a waiting area outside
- We have removed magazines from the waiting area
- We regularly wipe chair + door handles , all gym equipment with sanitiser
- Treatment rooms and equipment are all wipe over after every patient with sanitiser
- Linens have been removed from all treatment beds
- Pain group will be conducted in our larger gym to allow for social distancing
For patient interaction designed to minimise the time in the waiting room we will introduce the following:
- Patients can phone on arrival and wait in their cars
- Admin staff will call patient when the Practitioner is ready
- The patient can move straight into treatment room for treatment
It is important that you let our friendly admin team know when booking the appointment if you would like to minimise the time in our waiting room, in order for adequate notes to be made on your file prior to the appointment.
For patients wanting or needing complete social distancing during this time, namely 70+ year old, cancer patients and the immunosuppressed patients, or others who feel particularly vulnerable we would like to offer the following as an option:
- We will open the house next to the main practice (856 Marion Rd) for one Practitioner with no one else in the building several times a week
- 40 minute bookings will take place
- Patients are to wait in the car until the Practitioner collects them for treatment
- The Practitioner will deal with administration through private health and payWave without you needing to attend reception or come into contact with anyone else
- Telehealth services are also now available
